About the Event
Monthly Session: Home is Where a Job Goes to Sleep
Date: Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022 from 1:00-2:00PM
One of the biggest problems facing South Carolina employers is recruiting and holding onto workers as unemployment rates in the state have dropped to the lowest levels ever in the past two years. At the same time, housing prices remain high, prompting some workers and their families to weigh the benefits of taking a job in a community against the costs of living there. Creating housing attainability in communities throughout the state will support work force expansion.
